We built AnalyticsBuddy because YouTube analytics are confusing. We're not here to sell your data or spam you. This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, and what we do with it.

TL;DR

We only collect what we need to make the product work. We don't sell your data. We don't spam. We use industry-standard security. You can delete your account anytime.

2. What Information We Collect

Information You Give Us:

When you join Discord: Discord username and ID (automatically from Discord), Discord profile picture.
When you upgrade to Pro: Email address, Payment information , Billing address.
When you use the bot: YouTube video URLs you analyze, Your YouTube channel URL, Messages you send in Discord.

Information We Collect Automatically:

From your bot usage: Videos analyzed, monthly usage count, subscription tier, timestamps.
From our website: Browser type, IP address, Pages visited, Time spent, Referring website.

What We DON'T Collect:

Your YouTube password (never)
Your YouTube revenue data (can't access it)
Private information from your YouTube account
Your personal messages with other Discord users

3. Why We Collect This Information

To make the product work:

Store your video analysis history
Track monthly usage limits
Compare your videos
Generate personalized AI insights

To handle payments:

Process Pro subscriptions via Polar powered by Stripe
Send receipts
Manage renewals and cancellations

To improve the product:

See feature usage
Fix bugs and errors
Understand user behavior

To communicate with you:

Send important updates
Respond to support questions

We will NEVER sell your data to third parties or send unauthorized marketing spam.

4. How We Use Your YouTube Data

What we access: Only PUBLIC data that's visible to anyone on YouTube (Title, Views, Likes, Comments, Upload Date, Length). If publicly available, we calculate CTR/AVD.

How we use it: Generate insights, compare history, benchmark against similar channels, train AI.

Where it goes: Stored in encrypted Supabase database, sent to OpenAI for analysis (ephemeral), never sold.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

OpenAI: To generate AI insights. They don't store data permanently.
Polar (powered by Stripe): To process payments. They handle card info.
Supabase: For secure database hosting. Industry-standard encryption.
Vercel: For website hosting.
Discord: Governed by their privacy policy for authentication/messaging.

We may disclose info only if legally required by police/court order.

6. How We Protect Your Data

All data encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
Database encrypted at rest
Secure API key storage
Access limited to necessary team members

If there's a breach, we'll notify you within 72 hours.

7. Retention & 8. Your Rights

Retention: Active account history kept forever. Deleted account personal data removed in 30 days. Payment records kept 7 years (tax law).

Your Rights: Access, Delete, Correct, download your data anytime. Unsubscribe from emails easily.

To delete your account, type /delete-account in Discord.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for login/security and analytics cookies to understand site usage. No advertising cookies or creepy cross-site tracking.

10-13. Other Details

Children: Not for under 13s.
International: Based in India. Servers global.
Changes: We'll accept updates by continuing use. Major changes notified via email/Discord.
