The Legal Stuff (But Not Boring)

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AnalyticsBuddy. By using our service, you agree to these terms.

TL;DR

Don't be a jerk. Don't abuse the service. We can terminate accounts that violate the rules. No refunds because you get to test everything on the free tier first. We're not liable if something breaks. Standard legal stuff.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using AnalyticsBuddy (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. It's that simple.

Who can use this:

  • You must be at least 13 years old
  • If you're under 18, you need parent/guardian permission
  • You must comply with all local laws
  • You must have authority to enter into this agreement

Changes: We may update these Terms. We'll notify you via Discord or email for major changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

What AnalyticsBuddy is: A Discord-based tool that analyzes YouTube video performance using AI and provides insights to gaming creators.

What it includes:

  • Discord bot with /analyze and other commands
  • AI-powered video analysis
  • Community Discord server
  • Website and documentation

What it doesn't include:

  • Guaranteed results or view increases
  • Access to non-public YouTube data
  • Video editing or thumbnail creation
  • SEO or keyword research

3. Account Registration and Security

Free Tier: No registration required beyond joining our Discord server.

Pro Tier: Requires payment through Polar.

Your responsibilities:

  • Keep your Discord account secure
  • Don't share your account with others
  • Notify us immediately if your account is compromised

4. Acceptable Use

You MAY:

  • Analyze your own or publicly available YouTube videos
  • Share insights with others
  • Participate in the community

You MAY NOT:

  • Abuse: Create multiple accounts to bypass limits, spam commands, overload servers, reverse engineer code.
  • Violate Policies: Break Discord/YouTube ToS, harass members, spam ads.
  • Illegal Activity: Use for illegal purposes, infringe IP, share malware.

Consequences: Warning, Ban, or Legal Action.

5. Free Tier

  • 5 AI video analyses per month (Resets on 1st of month UTC)
  • Cannot carry over or transfer unused analyses

We reserve the right to change limits or discontinue the free tier.

6. Pro Subscription

Pricing: $15.99/month

  • Unlimited analyses & Pro features
  • Billed monthly via Polar (Auto-renewal)

Cancellation: Cancel anytime. Access continues until billing cycle ends. No partial refunds.

Payment Failures: 3-day grace period before downgrade.

7. Refund Policy

NO REFUNDS.

Here's why:

  1. You can test everything for free first (5 analyses/mo).
  2. Digital service = instant access (can't "return" insights).
  3. Prevents abuse (upgrading, running 1000 analyses, refunding).

Exceptions (Only these):

  • Technical issues: Service down 48+ consecutive hours.
  • Billing errors: Double charged, etc.
  • Fraud: Unauthorized use of your card.

Chargebacks: Filing a chargeback without contacting us results in a permanent ban.

8-10. Service, IP & Third Parties

Service: We don't guarantee 100% uptime or perfect AI insights. We promise to fix bugs ASAP and be transparent.

IP: We own the brand and code. You own your videos and Discord content. AI insights are yours to use, "as is".

Third Parties: We integrate with Discord, YouTube, OpenAI, Polar, Supabase, Vercel. You are subject to their terms too.

11. Disclaimers & Limitations

Important Legal Stuff:

The Service is provided "AS IS". No warranties. We are not liable for lost revenue, views, or decisions you make based on our AI insights.

Max Liability: Limited to amount you paid in last 12 months (₹0 for free tier).

12-13. Indemnification & Termination

Indemnification: You agree to defend us against claims arising from your violation of these Terms or laws.

Termination: We can ban you for violations. You can leave anytime. Pro access ends immediately on termination.

14. Governing Law

These Terms governed by the laws of India. Disputes resolved in courts of [Your City/State], India.
No class actions allowed.
